Holiday post! Here, have some painting fail.
Also, I am finally reading the series A Song of Ice and Fire and it is every bit as good as I've heard. I typically avoid High Fantasy like the dirty plague-ridden medieval peasants it puts me in mind of, but I must say ASoIaF has won my heart. Also, dragons.

Update time! I guess I could be posting my hands and feet and bone drawings here, it just feels weird I suppose. How many people really want to see those, anyway?
Haha, like my pre-lecture sketches are any better. Oh, I guess a foot did sneak in there. One of the crap ones, that's a bummer.
Stalked my pets for about 45 minutes this week in practice for the Royal Winter Fair! Gina spent most of the time waiting for her food, so she wasn't too tough to draw. Suzi, on the other hand, is by far the most, um, stationary person in the house most of the time, but as soon as I try and draw her she gets all embarrassed and fidgety. Stupid cat, I really need to work on my cat drawings too.
This one is just a mishmash of stuff from the last week or so. The girl on the bottom is totally sketch. Mark Thurman says my shoulders are looking good, hopefully it's just a matter of time before that transfers to my "aht uh mi hed" drawings.

Alrighty, I have finally scanned a big batch of stuff to unload here! There still may be more, I didn't scan anything from my old sketchbook yet and I've got a few random scribbles lying around that I was too lazy to scan with these others because man alive, the scanners here takes forever! I could do 10 gestures before 1 scan is done. :P Other than that, school is awesome.

Sorry I haven't been updating all summer, most of what I've drawn has been for work and I don't think I can post that publicly. But if I may get this thing up and rolling again, here's some fanart of my new favorite book, Lonely Werewolf Girl by Martin Millar. If you like Buffy, werewolves, or better yet both I highly suggest giving it a try. These are two of my favorite characters, the titulary character Kalix and her shit-kicking cousin Dominil.
Next time I update this, I may well be at Sheridan College!

Oh my! It's been a while since I updated this, hasn't it? Well, no time like the present to start again. Here are some life drawings from the past week. I haven't had much time to get to a life drawing class, so in desperation I drew myself. Times like this I almost wish I was even more muscular (even though I am your typical mesomorph and gain muscle doing dickall) so I could study these muscles in a bit more detail.
Then yesterday I bit the bullet and went to the Stampede. I started drawing at the pigs, which may not have been the best warm-up because I'm none too practiced at drawing pigs anyway, and little bugger kids kept getting in my way and pushing the piglets into different positions. Also sucked for the piglets, but what about ME?
The horses drawn in blue pen are the Budweiser Clydestales! The ones in pencil were in a big tent with rows and rows of gorgeous heavy horses. I lost a page of sketches from in there because I got commissioned on the spot(!) to do a portrait of a pretty mare named Chloe and I accidentally drew her on the other side of a page of sketches. I think all the horses on the other side belonged to the commissioners as well, so I guess they got more of their money's worth. ^^
It started to get pretty late, but my dad let me stay and check out the light horses in the far corner of the tent. They looked so petite after all the drafts! There was a cute little Peruvian Paso, and a stunning Canadian Horse named Nina. I think one of the most fun parts about drawing the horses in this tent was meeting the great people who care for them, and hearing how proud they are of their horses. (And rightly so, every one of those horses was gorgeous.) I could have spent all day drawing in there.

Old stuff from last month. I have been lazy with scanning lately, now I need to play catch-up like whoa!
I couldn't remember if I'd already posted these or not.
Should've done a bit with the ground plane on this one, my Life Drawing teacher would not be happy with me.
Finally, UNICORN OF THE ROAD. BELIEVE IT. (My God, the perspective is fooked on this one)
